Lisa Phillips to work with YWCA on Mental Health in Education

Award Winning Northants Life and Confidence Coach to work with YWCA on Mental Health in Education

Award Winning Northants Life and Confidence Coach, Motivational speaker,  counsellor  and wellness expert Lisa Phillips is delighted to be working with the YWCA Cambridgeshire and Peterborough on a new mental health initiative in schools.    Lisa also worked with the YWCA NSW while living in Sydney, Australia and has worked with many Education providers, schools, teachers and universities in the past.

The new ‘Train the Trainer’ initiative offers schools the opportunity to train their own teachers to be able to deliver some of the early intervention programmes, as well as providing those teachers with the resources to train others within the school to identify and develop support for specific mental health issues and signpost those needing clinical intervention.   The program will be rolled out in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough.

Mental Health in Education

The launch of the service comes as schools look to tackle the growing issue of mental health in young people, whilst navigating ever decreasing budgets. The first official estimate of the nation’s vulnerable minors was revealed by the Children’s Commissioner for England, ( July 2017) which showed in the region of 800,000 children in the UK are suffering from mental health problems.
