I wish I had a dollar for every time someone complained to me ‘ The Law of Attraction isn’t working’! or ‘ Where is the money, relationship, career that I have been asking for – Where is my stuff!!!!!’
For those of you how are not familiar with the Law of attraction, it is really simple, ‘ That which it’s like itself is drawn’.
Movies like The Secret, do not fully embrace one key important trait. You need to align your positive thoughts with an elevated positive feeling in your body. Otherwise you may be feeling like the Law of Attraction is not working for you! It is just not about thinking positive thoughts, it is about aligning your positive thoughts with a positive emotion.
The Law of Attraction Responds to your Feelings
I am a huge fan of the work of Abraham Hicks and have also have attended many of their cruises and workshops around the world. This work really resonates with me as it is a leading edge approach to using the Law of Attraction. In particular, the work highlights the fact that in order to make it work for you for you, you must understand that it is responding to your Feelings – or the Vibration of your emotions.
This also corresponds with recent breakthroughs in Neuroscience.
I have written about the importance of expectation in previous blogs, but today I would like to explore with you why the Law of Attraction may not be working for you personally.
Why the Law of Attraction may not be working for you.
Let’s imagine that you asked for what you want. You are now patiently ( or not so patiently!) waiting for the arrival of the goods / money / relationship etc to manifest into your experience.
However, if what you want is not arriving as quickly as you would like it, the issue is that many of us become impatient and start complaining about it NOT arriving. It is then we start to ask ‘ Where is my stuff!’ or complain that ‘ The Law of Attraction does not work’
Focusing on the Unwanted
This is a universe of inclusion. Therefore, if you are feeling disappointed or complaining that your desires have not yet manifested into your experience, then guess what – your desires are not going to manifest into your experience yet! Simple – You get what you think about! Remember, the universe is always responding to your feelings.
The LOA is always working, so complaining ‘ where is my stuff‘ will just attract more of ‘ where is my stuff!’
Focus on the Wanted
To adjust this pattern, you need to quit focusing your energy and feelings that what you want has not arrived. Instead, you need to keep your emotions on what you want, and why you want it. Be more receptive to allowing it into your experience. Feel how great it will be when it arrives and feel the excitement of what you want arriving in your life. Don’t try and force yourself to believe. It is far better to find a soothing and encouraging thought that will give you relief from your current negative emotions.
Try a few of these more general statements to allow what you want into your life.
1) Wouldn’t it be nice if I started to receive nice things in my life
2) Even though it may not feel like it, every thing is always working out for me
3) Everything is unfolding perfectly for me, it won’t be long now’
4) I am really looking forward to experiencing the money / success / clients / career that I desire.
5) I am getting ready for everything I want to be drawn to me.
